Job DescriptionWe are looking for a talented and highly motivated Computer Vision Software Engineer to join a small team in our San Mateo (San Francisco) location. You will play a key role in developing cutting-edge technologies that allow our customers to perform sophisticated analyses on their large-scale, large-area aerial datasets. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenging problems, including:
* High precision 2.5D and 3D reconstruction, real-time image georegistration, broad-area orthomosaicking, aerial SLAM, automated infrastructure survey and advanced object detection and recognition.* Work with imagery from a range aircraft and sensors, with both still imagery and video, from small rotary wing aircraft up to Insitu s long-endurance ScanEagle platform.* Develop algorithms on a range of hardware platforms, from on-board SoC devices, to multi-core workstations, to GPUs, to large-scale distributed processing in the cloud.Other essential duties include:
* Stay up-to-date with the latest computer vision literature by reading papers and attending conferences.* Research ideas, implement prototypes and demonstrators. Document these activities and evangelize to the wider group.* Implement C++ APIs and tools for both internal and customer-facing use..* Implement and support test frameworks.* Support our solutions architects and advanced development engineers.This position is eligible for Remote Work. QualificationsKEY SKILLS & ABILITIES* Experience in several of the following areas:
structure from motion, bundle adjustment and large-scale optimization, photogrammetry, multi-view stereo, 3D reconstruction, SLAM, machine-learning and CNNs, GPGPU coding and cloud-based distributed processing.* Good grasp of engineering mathematics, linear algebra, algorithms and numerical optimization methods.* Excellent C/C++ coding, strong engineering practices, debugging/profiling skills, familiarity with multi-threaded programming.* Experience with scripting and prototyping tools including Python and Matlab.* Experience with at least one main stream deep learning framework, such as TensorFlow, Caffe or Theano.* Experience with computer vision or robotics libraries, such as OpenCV, VXL, PCL, ROS.* Experience with CUDA or OpenCL, OpenGL a plus.* Experience developing on Linux/GCC a plusTYPICAL EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
