Cyber Security Engineer REMOTE W2 Contract


Cyber Security Engineer Senior/Principal Level REMOTE This is a hands-on position candidates should be ready to build, and maintain Information Security systems and applications. The position will include a mix of high-level security design (from time to time), day-to-day operational security tasks, and building and maintaining security infrastructure. This position will also be expected to provide onboarding customer support (with security tasks, VPN set up, etc.). Essential skills as follows: Be a subject matter expert of some/all of the following: o Cisco Security technologies specifically Cisco FirePOWER, and Cisco ASA. The customer has recently introduced Cisco ACI so knowledge/skills in this technology platform would be advantageous o Snort based Network Intrusion Detection systems (to include Cisco Sourcefire, Snort, and Security Onion) o F5 Security technologies specifically SSL VPN products, NLB, and APM o Trend Micro Deep Security suite (Anti-Virus, HIPS, FIM, and Network Sandbox) o Splunk, RSA Netwitness, and ELK based SIEM/Security logging solutions o Tenable SecurityCenter, Tenable Nessus, and (and/or other Vulnerability scanning solutions like Qualys, and Rapid7) o Authentication/Authorization specifically LDAP, PKI, RADIUS, and 2FA (RSA SecurID) Req: US Citizen as government/federal work Remote: East Coast Hours Travel: 15% US and potential International ACCOUNTABILITIES: Ensures that full life cycle delivery costs are within or better than the delivery costs contracted according to the service level agreement. Coordinates the activities of technical solution team members to meet contract obligations. Provides complex metrics and reporting support to all relevant stakeholders. Proactively identifies potential issues and drives resolution to avoid customer impact and facilitate continuous improvement. Identifies opportunities for growth and innovation. Builds and sustains effective communications with all stakeholders and cross-functional teams in an effort to maximize the customer experience and relationships. RESPONSIBILITIES: Leads the largest and most complex delivery of system solutions to customers. Typically has lower level delivery management team members assisting on service delivery. Responsible for assisting the sales organization in selling services. Defines and implements delivery management standards for team. Viewed as an expert in delivery management best practices.
