Software Engineer

About Us

TradeTapp is an early stage startup whose focus is on using technology and financial analysis to help the construction management industry make better decisions.  Our product is a SaaS platform that assists general contractors in collecting, analyzing, and vetting the companies they hire to do the actual building.  We were founded in early 2016 by a construction industry expert along with two software developers.  Since launching, TradeTapp has already been adopted by some of the leading construction firms in the country, and is showing opportunity for significant future growth.

As we expand our development team, we are looking for software engineers interested in getting in at the ground floor, building upon our culture, and being part of this exciting phase of growth. This position will work closely with the founding team to advance our platform, lead in development of new features, and further shape the product for long term success.

Being such an early startup, we can give you the opportunity to concentrate on the front-end, back-end, or a bit of both.

Front End:  Building and updating features in Angular.  We are currently an AngularJS/Angular hybrid app looking to convert fully to Angular.  You would be working very closely with out design team to continuously push out features.

End Backend: The core of our backend is a Django/Python REST API built on PostgreSQL.  Here you’d be adding to and optimizing our endpoints, managing our data model, and updating our financial model and risk engine.

Beyond the technical responsibility, we are looking for someone who has a founders mentality, because that’s exactly what first employees are.  Whether that’s developing best practices or finding better ways to communicate between our various teams, we need people who will help us be the best at turning an idea into something we can deliver to our clients.
