The Developer will be a part of a highly functional team responsible for integration multiple complex data sources into Hadoop.

Primary Responsibilities:

Design, build, and deploy processes to load data (sets and sources) into Hadoop using Informatica BDM and other tools
Write code to extract and transform data
Troubleshoot production issues with Hadoop
Performance tuning and optimization of processes in Hadoop environment
Work on Proof of Concepts for Hadoop related vendor tools and processes

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in related field
2+ years of hands on experience programming on Hadoop
4+ years of experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) - system development projects
Hands-on experience with Informatica, especially big data modules
Experience with agile/scrum methodologies
Previous experience with Relational Databases (RDBMS) & Non- Relational Database
Previous experience in implementation of ETL applications, Data warehousing principles, architecture and its implementation in large environments
Analytical and problem solving experience applied to a Big Data environment
Understanding and related experience with Hadoop database tools (Spark, HBase, Hive, Pig, Sqoop, Flume, Hbase and/or Map/Reduce)
Hands-on experience with related/complementary open source software platforms and languages (e.g. Java, Linux, Apache, Unix)
Hands-on experience with Informatica, especially big data modules

Preferred Qualifications:

Good communication and interpersonal skills
Informatica Big Data Quality experience
Experience with Docker and Kubernetes technology
Must be disciplined in documentation strategies and creating documentation
Skilled in MS Suite Products - Visio, MS Project, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
Negotiation and Influencing Skills
Willingness to work with a virtual team
