Description: The Defense and Intelligence group at Leidos has an opening for an Applications Programmer. This position is in direct support of the Air Force Common Computing Environment (CCE) and Global Combat Support System - Air Force (GCSS-AF) 2 contract vehicle. Remote or telecommute work available for this position. JOB SUMMARY Candidate will be responsible for writing and maintaining source code, creating and maintaining software applications and applying frameworks involved in a software release. Duties include computer programming, documenting, managing configuration, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining applications and frameworks involved in a software release life cycle and resulting in a software product. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, a quick learner and able to work independently while collaborating with other team members and external components in a complex environment. Candidate will develop technical solutions that require collaboration with internal experts, deep analyses and understanding of impact on end-product/solution. Develops solutions to technical problems and issues that are unclear and require deep technical knowledge. GCSS-AFCLOUD Qualifications: BASIC QUALIFICATIONS ?Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Master's degree. ?Security+ or higher 8570 Certification. ?Strong knowledge of the Java language, its classes and state-of-the-art development environment. 4-6 years as a Java Developer. ?Experience with automated testing. ?Familiarity with Free and Open Source (FOSS) software components. ?Experience with JBoss and/or RedHat Fuse. ?Must have an active Secret Level Clearance. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS ?Experience with the Java Spring Framework.
