About the Role


Above all, we win as a team. We hire people who like working collaboratively and don’t mind getting out of their comfort zones. The majority of your role will be creating engaging and usable digital experiences for our customers throughout their shopping journey. Projects will range from product and landing pages to complex e-commerce features. You will also have the opportunity to occasionally work on heavier UX problems as well as some print projects.  

Essential Functions

  • Translating business requirements and user needs into design solutions that are engaging, valuable and usable
  • Working with project teams to distill goals, constraints and risks into well thought-out project plans
  • Helping to build and maintain our brand guidelines and UI pattern library as our brand and interfaces evolve over time
  • Art directing product pages, marketing initiatives, email campaigns, and other aesthetic- and performance-driven interfaces
  • Occasionally art directing and executing printed product collateral and retail needs
  • Collaborating with the content and multi-media teams to create integrated, engaging content for your designs
  • Leading brainstorming/wireframing sessions that use design thinking practices to ideate with multi-disciplinary teams
  • Creating mood boards, style tiles, wireframes, and comps to explore solutions and clearly communicate the recommended user experience to the project team
  • Designing intuitive and elegant web-based interfaces for all screen sizes
  • Maintaining graphic standards and branding throughout all design solutions
  • Helping to conduct and interpret user research and testing for your designs
  • Strategizing with the team on better flows and processes for existing systems
  • Providing clear, candid, and constructive feedback to team members
  • Being an ambassador for human-centered design and a champion for the user
  • Working on multiple projects in parallel while staying organized and meeting tight deadlines


You have experience…


  • Creating beautiful, engaging, usable designs
  • Providing art direction for digital projects
  • Leading brainstorming/wireframing/story-carding sessions
  • Building prototypes and conducting and interpreting user research and testing
  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams
  • Working with e-commerce (nice to have)
  • Working for a product company (nice to have)

You can demonstrate…


  • Advanced visual design skills, including typography, color theory, and illustration
  • Solid UX design skills, ranging from user research to high-fidelity comps
  • Solid UI animation skills and comfort working with modern prototyping tools
  • Complex problem-solving skills
  • Advocacy for the user
  • A bias toward testing and a curiosity for what you don’t know
  • Flexibility (high-fidelity and low-fidelity, changing objectives and scope, etc)
  • Comfort working at a quick yet sustainable pace
  • An ability to manage large projects while staying organized and focused
  • An ability to give and receive constructive feedback
  • An ability to listen and ask good questions
  • The confidence and initiative to speak up and address problems that you see within our products, processes, and teams
  • Familiarity with Google analytics (nice to have)
  • Basic coding skills (HAML/SASS) (nice to have)
