DESCRIPTION: The Deployment Services Solution Architect contributes to the growth, effectiveness, and profitability of the Practice by providing customer consultation abilities and senior technical leadership. The Solution Architect must be adept in a wide range of technologies, services and consulting approaches used within the Deployment Services Practice. The Solution Architect will provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) within one or more core service offerings with Deployment Services, minimally within the Desktop Deployment and/or Desktop Engineering capacity. This SME function will provide industry leading expertise, consultation and guidance to other members of the Practice, current engagements, and new perspective engagements. The Solution Architect will provide customer facing consulting and implementation services for our clients serving heavily in a consultative capacity in a pre and post sales capacity in order to grow and expand the current customer base within Global Services. This role will also be responsible for the creation and maintenance of Practice solution content, solution frameworks, and pricing. This role will work in close partnership with the Global Services sales team, Deployment Services Practice Architects, other Solution Architects, Delivery Leadership, and Practice Directors. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Sales Support & Solution Development: * Serve as the Point of Contact with Sales and Practice leaders for new business opportunities * Serve in a customer facing consultative capacity for the Practice in the following key areas: o Deployment and Engineering: End User Services deployment strategies for hardware and software Core Infrastructure deployment for server, network, and telephony Image Management Application Packaging Patch Management Software Deployment & Software Distribution Active Directory implementation services Point of Sale deployment technologies Asset Management Lifecycle Cloud Productivity adoption Merger and acquisition infrastructure strategies o End-to-End process engineering: Communication Management process Cost Management process Risk Management process Knowledge Management Quality Management o Future innovation in the End User Services deployment environment * Responsible for assigned Practice specific Solutions, which includes the following: o Data analysis o Resource modeling/team structure o Skills analysis/requirements o Pricing o Contractual Assumptions * Delivery of, or participation in, the final customer documents as assigned for specific opportunities: o Solution Proposal o Statement of Work (SOW) o Request for Proposal (RFP) o Request for Information (RFI) o Request for Quote (RFQ) Implementation Support: * Serve as the Practice SME in the following technical areas: o Deployment Support: End User Services deployment strategies for hardware and software Core Infrastructure deployment for server, network, and telephony Active Directory implementation services Deployment of Point of Sale technologies Asset Management Lifecycle Cloud Productivity adoption Merger and acquisition infrastructure strategies o Desktop Engineering: Deployment Automation Image Management (Design/Create/Maintain) Application Packaging Patch Management Software Deployment & Software Distribution (SCCM) * Design, implementation, and support of new Deployment engagements as part of a Project Start Up process * Support of existing Deployment engagements on customer premise or at a TEKsystems Solution Center to optimize, stabilize and provide innovation for current services * Practice specific industry research - white papers, best Practices/ industry standards, and industry trends. * Maintain industry specific Best Practices within Deployment Services * Maintain practice documentation and artifacts * Serve as a role model by promoting and demonstrating commitment to practice methodologies, processes and standards for both TEKsystems Global Services and industry-wide, recommending process improvements when necessary. * Lend expertise to internal IT teams and task forces as well as other IT projects/programs. REQUIRED SKILL SET: * Executive level communication skills, Excellent oral and written communication skills * Excellent time management skills, flexible and able to handle multiple initiatives concurrently * Ability to design and deliver quality presentations to clients and stakeholders, including the management teams * Excellent technical, leadership, organizational skills * Proactively anticipate problems; define the problem; identify possible causes; work with team to identify solutions; selects and implement the most appropriate solution. * Possesses an understanding of IT Services: service offerings, technical standards and policies, technical and business strategies as well as organizational structure. * Maintains awareness of new and emerging technologies * Strong knowledge and experience in disciplines, tools, and process resident within Infrastructure services * Exercise influence at many levels of the organization up to the Director Level. * Ensures that both tactical and strategic team goals are met. * Make key decisions based upon input from teams; solid understanding of IT Services principles; firm and business objectives and needs analysis. * Proposal and/or Statement of Work development experience. * Demonstrated experience in utilizing flexible sourcing options to deliver practice services. * Proven product/solution development management experience. * Proven Product Development ideally in key verticals. * Overall understanding of the business objectives of service lines and core business services departments. QUALIFICATIONS: * 7 - 10+ years of Service Delivery leadership experience in a commercial Managed Service provider environment within the Desktop Support and/or Desktop Engineering capacity * 7+ years of experience building, integrating and delivering enterprise-wide solutions. * Strong willingness and desire to be in a customer consultative capacity * Strong willingness and desire to be in a hands on implementation and support capacity * Willing and able to travel on short term notice and up to 50% * Experience managing service operations within an ITIL based IT organization * BA or BS degree in a related field preferred. * Windows 10 system administrator * Proficiency with the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit and Windows Deployment Services toolset * Highly proficient or certified in Systems Management Center, Systems Management Server, or SCCM 2012 * SCCM 2012 Site/Client Troubleshooting, Boundaries, Replication, and Remediation * RPA experience with Microsoft Systems Center and Orchestrator implementing process automation * Mobile device management utilizing Microsoft Intune or other tools * Experience with automated software distribution tools and system management o Scripting in PowerShell, DOS, and .NET Programming o Leveraging WMIC and PowerShell Scripting with SCCM cmdlets * Experience designing a virtual desktop strategy for large enterprise environments * Experience building and deploying virtual desktop environments and application virtualization (Hyper-V and VMWare) * Experience administering Active Directory Federated Services * Network Administration, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Wi-Fi, troubleshooting * Router/Switch/Firewall Administration * Experience building, testing, and certifying desktop images o Application rationalization, testing, and remediation experience o Firmware & Driver troubleshooting & maintenance (BOIS and UEFI) o Experience supporting endpoint anti-virus and (Symantec, Cylance, etc.) o Management of VPN technologies (site-to-site & point-to-point) About TEKsystems: We're partners in transformation.
