Job Title: ETL Lead /Architect - DataStage

Location: Reno, NV (REMOTE/TRAVEL)

Contract:6 months+

JOB OVERVIEW:

Senior level ETL Lead / Architect - DataStage on site in Reno, NV. Local or weekly travel to site are acceptable.

Consultant must be able to travel as needed, and will travel approximately 50% of the time.

As a Senior Technical Architect, you will provide best-fit architectural solutions for one or more projects; you will assist in defining scope and sizing of work; and anchor Proof of Concept developments. You will provide solution architecture for the business problem, platform integration with third party services, designing and developing complex features for clients' business needs.

The Senior Technical Architect will provide technology direction, ensures project implementation compliance, and utilizes technology research to innovate, integrate, and manage technology solutions. You will collaborate with some of the best talent in the industry to create and implement innovative high quality solutions, participate in Sales and various pursuits focused on our clients' business needs.

SKILLS & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • This consultant will lead large data warehosue and data lake implementations, playing both an architect and workstream leader role
  • This role holds responsibility for the technical data integration and metadata management functions within a large scale implementation project
  • Requires the ability to partner with other PRFT architects as well as customer architects
  • Presentation and negotiation skills, within the techincal and implementation process domain, are very important in this role
  • Lead projects within architecture. Work with Product Owner/Business Analysts to understand functional requirements and interact with other cross-functional teams to architect, design, develop, test, and release features.
  • Develop Proof-of-Concept projects to validate new architectures and solutions.
  • Own development of a few features in every Sprint.
  • Support multiple Agile Scrum teams with planning, scoping and creation of technical solutions for the new product capabilities, through to continuous delivery to production.
  • Liaise with offshore team and clients for resolving technical dependencies, issues, and risks.
  • Mentor and provide architectural guidance to multiple teams building innovative applications.
  • Drive common vision, practices and capabilities across teams.

SKILLS AND EXPERICENCE REQUIRED:

This consultant must have significant data integration ETL and ELT architecture, design, and development experience within a data warehousing environment, and must be very strong working with both technical and business metadata and metadata catalogs. This consultant must have strong leadership skills and be able to learn complex patterns quickly and mentor and lead other consultants in implementing these patterns. IBM DataStage ( InfoSphere Information Server) and IBM PDA (Netezza and NZ SQL) experience required.

  • Requires at least 8 years working with data systems (data warehouses, data marts, data lakes, or operational data stores) with at least 3 of these years working on Healthcare Provider Data Integration and Warehousing.
  • Strong communication and consulting skills are a must have.
  • Experience ingesting data from one of the leading Electronic Health Records systems is a must have, with a strong preference for experience ingesting data from Epic Clarity.
  • Experience working with the Hadoop ecosystem and tools is nice to have but not required.
  • Consultant must be able to travel as needed, and will travel approximately 50% of the time.

Must Have Skills:

  • IBM DataStage ( InfoSphere Information Server) and IBM PDA (Netezza and NZ SQL) experience required.
  • Requires at least 8 years working with data systems (data warehouses, data marts, data lakes, or operational data stores) with at least 3 of these years working on Healthcare Provider Data Integration and Warehousing.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Required - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or closely related or equivalent
  • Preferred - Master's degree in Management Information Systems (MIS), Computer Science, Big Data or Analytics or equivalent

Travel:

  • Open to travel based up on the nature of the engagement
