CircleCI is quickly scaling, and our Recruiting team of three needs to add a strong Technical Recruiter to focus on our most senior engineering hires. As CircleCI's Engineering Recruiter, you will be responsible for creating and executing sourcing strategies to hire for our most senior engineering positions, while managing partnerships with our hiring managers. You should be comfortable leading, providing feedback, and driving these relationships forward to help us achieve our hiring goals.

Our 2018 headcount plan is aggressive, and our Recruiting team of three needs to add a strong technical recruiter to focus on our most senior engineering hires.


  • Collaborate with Engineering hiring managers to understand hiring needs and define hiring strategy
  • Develop unique sourcing strategies to surface Principal level passive candidates, both locally and globally
  • Organize and facilitate interview debriefs, helping to guide and drive decision making
  • Own the offer approval, extension and negotiation process, and effectively close prospective candidates
  • Create and maintain an amazing candidate experience
  • Attend networking and tech events as necessary

What you'll bring:

  • 10+ years of in-house and agency technical recruiting experience
  • A network of strong relationships with high caliber engineers
  • An appreciation for the importance of a diverse pipeline of exceptional talent
  • Strong sourcing ability and a creative attitude towards overcoming roadblocks
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A sense of ownership and accountability for the roles you own
  • The ability to develop strong relationships with candidates and hiring managers
  • Experience recruiting Clojure or functional devs a huge plus! (Our stack is Clojure on the backend, React JS on the front end)
