Senior Support Engineer - Remote Monitoring & Management

Our client is recruiting on behalf of one of Bristol's fastest-growing technology companies, a leading IT support business. Due to ongoing success, they are looking for a Senior Support Engineer to monitor customers' estates.

As the Senior Support Engineer, you will:

  • Primarily remotely monitor customers' estates, as well as assist with helpdesk and project activities
  • Provide 2nd and 3rd line technical support on Microsoft technologies
  • Swiftly investigate and resolve any problems
  • Communicate technical issues in non-technical terms
  • Keep up-to-date and detailed notes on the work you complete
  • Create scripts for customised monitoring and reporting
  • Assist Junior Engineers with tasks


To be considered, you'll need broad experience in an IT service position, including experience of the following:

  • ConnectWise Automate (previously Labtech)
  • MS Windows Server management and support
  • Hyper V and other virtualization platforms
  • Exchange Server management and support
  • Office 365 and Azure migration and management
  • Network and firewall infrastructure management, support and deployment
  • Active Directory and group policy management
  • PowerShell scripting
  • Monitoring customer servers and performing preventative maintenance
  • Deployment of managed Anti-Virus and Backup solutions
  • Server infrastructure deployment and configuration
  • Cyber security and GDPR

The following is also essential:

  • A degree (or equivalent) in IT
  • The Implementing Microsoft Azure Infrastructure Solutions certification
  • A Microsoft certification
