Title: Enterprise Cloud Architect
Location: Remote with some travel to Vancouver as needed
Salary: $160k- $180k + bonus

You will be responsible for the defining and maintaining the blueprint of various solutions in the company's Enterprise Imaging portfolio. This includes their decomposition into components and applications/products/services to realize business use cases; defining internal/external dependencies and interfaces; as well as controlling their re-composition into scalable enterprise systems. The Lead Enterprise Architect leads a small team of Enterprise Architects each responsible for one or more sub-domains of the solution space.
Promote adaptive design and best engineering practices and drive architectural initiatives for the Enterprise Imaging portfolio
Facilitate the reuse of ideas, components, services, and proven patterns across various solutions in a portfolio.
Define and drives the adoption of internal standards as well as the use and compliance to relevant external standards
Accountable for the proper design of the Enterprise Imaging solutions in their entirety and strategic technology decisions to meet the business requirement
Maintain a good understanding of the healthcare IT market and its challenges and how imaging solutions help achieve business outcomes
Maintain a good understanding of global technology trends and actively search for and leverage important trends, platforms and services
Stay actively involved in key partnerships with both technology providers and pilot customers
Define, manage and monitor the execution of the architecture of the Enterprise Imaging
Define and manage the non-functional (technical) solution-level requirements (such as security, scalability, availability, etc.) of the Enterprise Imaging
Maintain the blueprint of the Enterprise Imaging solutions and ensures they are well understood by each of the contributing teams
Define dependencies and technical integration between components of the Enterprise Imaging.
Define architecturally significant use cases whose realization illustrate how components and interfaces cooperate to produce business value
Promote standardization and component reuse across solutions
Leads all major technology decision related to the Enterprise Imaging
Architectural decomposition of solutions
Validation of solution re-composition
Collaborate with other Enterprise Architects in the company and both leverage and contribute to broader corporate platform initiatives
Experience in designing large and complex enterprise software systems with complex dependencies (especially on external software platforms)
Experience in Cloud technologies
Software architecture and design patterns experience
System/enterprise architecture and design patterns experience
Understanding of modern technologies such as cloud computing, software platforms, APIs, containerization
Understanding of cybersecurity methodology such as threat modeling, security risk analysis, vulnerability management
Proven experience of design and development of digital health applications and services
Presentation skills and IT standards as well as with Healthcare workflows
NICE TO HAVE:
Experience working with across multiple boundaries including internal and external relationships.
Strong planning skills and able to lead in a matrixed environment.
Experience with development practices such as Agile/Lean, DDD (domain-driven design), TDD (test-driven development).
Practical digital health experience such as design of solutions, products, business workflows, integrations and interoperability is an advantage
Experience in migrating products from on premise to cloud
Capability of effectively negotiating with peers without direct authority
Experience in leading large development groups
Knowledge of digital health standards such as HL7, DICOM, FHIR, IHE
