team. Let us make an impact together.We at Perspecta are currently seeking an Senior Mainframe Systems Engineer - SECRET CLEARANCEYou will be responsible for
providing Mainframe Administration in an enterprise environment. Must be able
to provide installation and configuration of IBM and third party mainframe
software. This includes software from
multiple vendors. Be able to code
required exits to third party software and maintain required software patches. Propagate third party software across
multiple mainframe environments (DEV, TEST, PROD). Must be able to provide
support to users of the third party software in regard to use. Maintain support accounts with vendors for
third party software and IBM. Provide
problem resolution services for mainframe system software. Provide required date to vendors in order to
resolve issues. Implement vendor
supplied fixes. Provide 24x7x365 support
to the end user community for the mainframe system software. Must be able to
implement and maintain a secure environment in compliance with all IA and DoD
STIG guidelines.Ability
to trouble shoot problems, work as both a team and/or as a self-directed
individual, client-facing experience, self-disciplined and ability to

to train other team members on the applications, proper procedures , problem

instructions in a logical, detailed flowQualificationsThe Candidate must have 4
to 8 years of professional experience. A Bachelor
of Arts/Science or equivalent degree in computer science or related area of
study; without a degree, three additional years of relevant professional
experience (11+ years in total).Must
have sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge to design and scope
multiple deliverables across a number of technologiesMust
have experience and breadth of technical knowledge to implement hardware
configurations consisting of multiple vendor productsMust
have experience with the installation of IBM z/OS operating system (2.1 or
later).Must
have demonstrated innovation and communication of new deliverables and
offeringsMust
have led team in the delivery of multiple deliverables across multiple
technologiesAbility
to develop solutions that enhance the availability, performance,
maintainability and agility of a particular customer's enterpriseMust
have contributed to the design and application of new toolsMust
possess an understanding, at a detailed level, of architectural dependencies of
technologies in use in the customer's Information Technology (IT)
environment.Frequently uses product and
application knowledge along with internals or architectural knowledge to
develop solutions.Ability
to work in a multi technology environment with the ability to diagnose complex
technical problems to their root cause.In addition to troubleshooting skills and consulting skills, have
ability to summaries prognosis and impact at practice lead level.Ability to adapt a consulting style
appropriate to the situation and can identify up-sell opportunitiesBe
able to demonstrate a broad understanding of market dynamics, an industry area,
commercial issues, and technical concerns while maintaining depth in core focus
areaAbility
to present within own area of expertise as part of a customer sales
presentation, putting forward domain-specific information within the context of
an HP sales campaign.Ability to produce
complete proposals for smaller engagements within own area of expertise.Demonstrate
broad knowledge in other technical areas in order to properly manage complex
integration effortsDemonstrates
application of technical expertise in successful engagements involving multiple
disciplines.Minimum
three (4 - 8) years of Industry Knowledge.Five
years' experience in administrating system software projectsTwo
years of experience in monitoring and maintaining project schedulesMust
have Lean Six Sigma knowledgeStrong
oral and written communication skillsAble
to manage a team of consultants in the completion of one or more solution
requirements, architecture, or implementation deliverableKnowledge
of ISO/ITIL processes and documentation standards is desired.Possess
a SECRET clearance or have the ability to get one. Must have at least an
interim SECRET to begin work on the contractMust
be obtain Security+ certification and be enrolled in CompTIA's Continuing
Education program before start dateSecondary
certification relative to the Computing Environment (IBM System z and zOS
Fundamentals Mastery)Must
