They are currently seeking a BackendAPI Engineer SummaryObjective Seeking top-notch backend engineers to join our clientrsquos team and help them evolve and take their products to the next level. Work with a small team of engineers, to ensure product delivery and best engineering practices. Enjoy and have experience building APIs. Ability to think about systems as a whole and produce simple but scalable architecture. High quality code. They work in Java, Go and Node with much of their legacy code base in PHP. Generally, they pick the right tool for the job and are looking for great engineers over prowess in a particular language. Have an attention for detail and hold yourself to a high standard. Setup continuous delivery process to enable continuous iteration on solutions. Work in an agile and highly collaborative environment. Lead the creation of technical design documents and lead the communication of the architectural vision across functional areas. Review code, lead refactoring activities, provide guidance from technical perspective for all SE members of the team. Train and mentor new team members. Help support team in resolving the customer issues related to the product. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 830 a.m. to 5 p.m. Remote work from home. Travel Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected. Required Education, Experience, and Skills BS, MS or Ph.D. in Computer Science or Engineering 5-8 years in a modern programming environment such as Java, Go or Node 5+ year building and designing APIs Knowledge of GraphQL or OData protocols a plus In-depth understanding of user authentication flows and session management Strong experience working with GitFlow Familiarity with Test Driven Development practices Strong written and verbal communication skills Experience working with and refactoring existing code Solid understanding of application vulnerabilities and security Familiarity with Dev-Ops Experience working in a team utilizing an agile approach Strong, proven problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly analyze the most expedient method to recover business operations Must be committed to a culture of continuous improvement Exceptional customer service skills, in addition to extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
