Job Description This position will be focused on designing, creating, and scaling hosted web applications. These services will be utilized by companies around the world to plan, collect, analyze, and disseminate massive data sets. We are looking for developers with expertise and passion for building production-class, highly-available infrastructure. In particular, we are looking for developers that want to work on modern tooling with a focus on containerization that will transform data management on the cloud and across the UAS industry. We practice Agile, Kanban and pair-programming methodologies, and work as tight-knit teams.

  • Continue learning new infrastructure technologies and greenfield tooling. In this role, you will have responsibility to:
  • Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture and design.
  • Contribute in the DevOps team to maintain and build out infrastructure and servers.
  • Maintain existing and future software services code and configuration.
  • Make recommendations for improvements to existing architecture.
  • Participate in code and design reviews to maintain quality of our development standards.
  • Provide technical guidance, knowledge transfers and mentorship to peers to function as a collaborative team.
  • Implement and improve development CI/CD software pipelines.
  • Work closely with Architects, Engineers, Product Managers and other clients and partners of the DevOps teamto meet the needs of the organization and to stay competitive from the infrastructure up to the highest level of applications. This position is available for Remote Work.
    Qualifications KEY SKILLS & ABILITIES
    Must have experience with:
  • 4+ years of experience in configuring infrastructure systems
  • Current cloud security practices familiarity
  • Working experience and solid understanding of IaaS and PaaS; prior experience implementing these solutions is preferred
  • Experience working with server virtualization
  • Experience with infrastructure provisioning tools, e. g. Docker, Chef, Ansible, Packer, Terraform
  • Knowledge of scripting languages
  • Strong proficiency in managing Linux systems
  • Experience with continuous integration tools (Jenkins, GoCD, etc)
  • Understanding of Windows administration
  • Configuring load balancers
  • DNS management
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP fundamentals
  • Authentication protocols
  • SSL certificate management
  • System monitoring and alerting
  • Ability to context-switch between multiple projects, codebases, and concepts with ease
  • Amazon Web Services
  • Strong problem-solving skills Nice to have experience with:

  • Active AWS DevOps certification and corresponding domain knowledge

  • As part of the interview, you may be asked to:
  • Implement an API and a UX using required skills
  • Implementation of at least one compliance assurance program, e. g. CSA, ISO, SOC etc.
  • Pair-programming EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
    Academic and professional experience: 9-13 years in an engineering classification with a Bachelor's degree or 7-11 years experience in an engineering classification with a Master's degree. This job is limited to employees who, in the performance of their assigned work, regularly apply engineering disciplines to the research, design, development, test, and evaluation of company products, facilities, or manufacturing process and have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree of Science from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
