We’re looking for a talented Web Designer to join our creative team. You must have an eye for pixel perfection, but also have the chops to code your own website. We are looking for someone who is passionate about their craft and is able to create stunning websites that impress clients and their fellow designers on Dribbble. If you believe you have the abilities we are looking for, we want to invest in you and grow together.

About Speak Creative:

We’re an established company of 34 with offices in Memphis and Nashville and a strong remote team across the US. We are skilled in all things interactive, from website design and development to mobile apps and digital marketing.

You can communicate - You don’t need to give big presentations, but you should be able to speak clearly and confidently about your work and approach. We are looking for designers who can communicate creative ideas while maintaining their charm.

You are authentic - You are confident in your abilities and can be yourself around others and clients.

You are composed - We need someone who is comfortable managing multiple projects at once with sometimes tight turnaround times - all while keeping cool and composed.

You love to help - You love helping others and can give your time and knowledge generously to help us grow and become better each week.

You solve problems - You’re a strategic thinker and you can solve problems quickly to help relieve business problems.

You’re a designer first - You consider yourself a designer first, and you can deliver fresh, modern design solutions that stand out on the web.

You’re a developer second - You will also be required to code your own designs. You’ll need to be comfortable writing HTML, CSS, and enough JS to toggle a class.

You don’t depend on Photoshop - You must be comfortable building your concepts in a direct-to-browser design environment (no full concepts in Photoshop or Sketch), or willing to learn this approach. Sound crazy? It’s not at all.

Some of the tech skills we are looking for:

  • Well experienced in the Adobe design tools (PS, AI, ID, Xd)

  • Comfortable writing HTML(5), CSS(3), Javascript by hand

  • Experienced with CSS scripting languages (we use SASS)

  • Good understanding of HTML Frameworks (we have our own)

  • Comfortable working in Flexbox

We work hard during business hours (M-Th 7a-5p and F 7a-11a…yes, every Friday is a half-day!) and go home when work is done.

Rarely, if ever, do we find ourselves staying late or working weekends. Funny what you can get done when you work hard.

We expect everyone on our team to be part of shaping our future. If there’s an issue, we tackle it together. If there’s an idea, we develop it together.
