What you ll be doing:

As part of ourProfessional Services Multi-Channel Solutions team, you will designand consult on innovative user interfaces for the design and construction ofconversational speech applications, working to achieve exceptional callersatisfaction and transaction completion with appropriate flair and personality.

What you ll bring to us:

  • Interpret and analyze businessrequirements to identify risks and design appropriate solutions
  • Develop and assess the capabilitiesand limitations of the applications and technologies and recommendalternatives and solutions
  • Provide guidance for business decisionsfrom a technical perspective on such issues as performance, scalability,reliability, and security
  • Collaborate with project teammembers to provide input to design specifications related to speechapplication
  • Develop IVR / Speech applicationsusing Avaya Conversant, Avaya IR platforms, VXML, and Java
  • Integrate to backend systems such asweb services, databases, legacy 3270, fax, CTI, and reporting
  • Develop simple grammars for speechapplications
  • Understand differences between typesof grammars (list, pattern, etc.), benefits and when each is appropriateto maximize accuracy for a given dialog

What skillsyou ll need:

  • 2 to 4 years experience in VoiceXMLIVR technologies
  • 3+ years experience in AdvancedSpeech Recognition solution design and development
  • 1+ year experience in grammardesign, development (ABNF, GRXML), and testing
  • 3+ years experience in speechtuning and grammar analysis
  • VXML, SSML, XML, JAVA, J2EE, JSP,.NET, C#, ASP, etc.
  • Proficient written and verbal skills
  • Strong understanding of NaturalLanguage design and Directed Dialogue design techniques for speechapplications
  • Strong knowledge of various speechengine capabilities and tuning concepts
  • Ideal candidate will have experiencewith Nuance and/or IBM WVS speech engines/tools
  • Ability to travel up to 40%. Will telecommute/work from home when nottraveling to client sites.
