Front-End Engineer


Continu is looking for a passionate, design driven, Front-End engineer to join our team full-time. As a Front-End Engineer at Continu, you’ll help conceive and build beautiful and functional experiences to shape our product.

At Continu, we build beautiful Learning Software for modern companies. Our product has been used by some of the worlds best brands, to engage and develop their employees. We’re a completely remote team with employees located globally.

About You

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • At least 4+ years of relevant experience in a similar role
  • Exceptional HTML5 & CSS3 skills
  • Strong JavaScript Experience (we use Angular.js)
  • Worked in a fast paced startup environment, where you’ve worn multiple hats
  • Experience working remote - either as a fully or semi-remote team member
  • A strong eye for design and user experience
  • Worked with CSS preprocessors such as SASS and LESS
  • Built highly performant and responsive web applications
  • Know your way around design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, Sketch and others
  • Exceptional ability to manage your time and outcomes
  • A positive, can-do attitude, willing to work alongside your fellow team members
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Passion for and an understanding of the problems we are solving

Bonus Points if you have

  • A background in Design
  • A bachelors degree in an applicable field
  • Experience working with mobile apps (web or native)
  • Used Semantic UI before
  • Experience with open-source projects

What you’ll do

  • Develop clean and well commented code
  • Improve the product through the development of new features, improvements and performance enhancements
  • Ensure our application can scale to support millions of users
  • Assist in conceptualizing new features and experience utilizing existing patterns within our application
  • Own and constantly contribute to our front-end development process
  • Ensure quality and high performance across all aspects of the application
  • Lead and translate design concepts into fully functional and heavily tested applications
  • Be a pixel perfectionist, striving to build out beautiful user interfaces and experiences
  • Make design related decisions that are best for the product
  • Work closely with all team members in a highly collaborative, distributed work environment
  • Develop, work on and improve our products pattern and asset library
