Job Summary The Discrepancy Analyst is responsible forsupporting all activities related to government logging and discrepancyanalysis function which includes verifying the accuracy of calculated discountsand analyzing discrepancies to determine root cause and resolution steps. Supervisor Payer Analysis Manager (Government) Supervises N/A Duties (included but notlimited to): Ensure governmentdiscrepancy analysis and processes are performed efficiently and effectivelyincluding: Monitoring andresolution of unpaid claims and month-end governmental reports Governmentaldiscrepancy analysis and resolution Batch reportcorrections Medicare Bad Debtmanagement Practice andadhere to the Code of Conduct philosophy and Mission and Value Statement Other duties asassigned KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &ABILITIES Organization - proactively prioritizes needs and effectivelymanages resources Communication - communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and inwriting. This includes utilizing proper punctuation, correct spelling and theability to transcribe accurately. CERTIFICATE/LICENSE - N/A PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKINGCONDITIONS Requires prolongedsitting/standing, some bending, stooping, walking and stretching. Requireseye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard,photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment. Requires normalrange of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriatereports or other information. Requires lifting papers/boxes and pushing/pullingup to 25 pounds occasionally. Work is performed in an office environment orhospital setting. Work may be stressful at times. Contact may involve dealing withangry or upset people. Staff must remain flexible and available to providestaffing assistance for any/all disaster or emergency situations.
